Bio:	My name is Luís Lopes, I was born in 1981 in Leiria, Portugal. I'm a mechanical engineer by profession, who over the last years developed a huge interest in photography. As a photographer, I try to explore my artistic side through photography.

I have had this spot selected for a visit for a long time and this summer I had the opportunity to do so. This photo was one of my biggest challenges because of the number of tourists that were inside the cave.

The world really is an incredible place... This beautiful waterfall is one example...

A beautiful shipwrecked in the Lagoa de Óbidos - Portugal

n a race against time so that we could still catch some colours of the sunset, it seemed that the 15km off-road had no end. It was a race against the clock praying that our van could withstand some of the most difficult roads we have been through

Vestrahorn known as "Batman Mountain" is one of the main attractions of Iceland. Due to the bad weather, we had to change the route twice around the island. Bad weather is sometimes not so bad and forces us to use creativity.

Everything that surrounds me is really magical and I never tire of admiring every photo I share of this place. I also hope to transport you through the magic and beauty of this lavender field at sunset.

With my friend already sleeping and I still peeking out the window... even without seeing anything and because I'm very stubborn and determined, I took my things and went into the middle of the darkness completely alone.

I identified this place perfectly aligned with the south, thus providing a fantastic landscape with Milkyway above us. After a long night photographing the Milkyway, until 2 o'clock in the morning, this is one of the results of this epic trip.

I like especially of this photo for having my two friends "working" for me. My friend Cathy as a model and my friend Enrique helped me in light painting with a second light to compose this shot in a single exposure of 25 seconds.

A memorable view of Kirkufell mountain, Iceland

The church of "Nossa Senhora de Alcamé" was built in 1746. This church was built so that agricultural workers could attend Mass on holy days, since it was not possible for them to move to the nearest parish.

Those who know the "Sitio da Nazaré" in Noth Beach will probably have no trouble recognizing the site. I wanted to give another perspective of this emblematic site by the giant waves, this time my perspective with this alignment of the North beach. Hope y

We have magnificent landscapes here too. I had this image idealized in my imagination for a long time. Whenever I passed the road I observed this place and idealized this composition. This summer I had the opportunity to materialize this shot.

A natural spectacle of a several converging lines on a city beach where I most love to surf, Peniche

When you join two great friends with unlimited time in a fantastic spot, the creativity comes to the top. I took this photo especially to celebrate my birthday and to get the best result, my friend gave me an helping hand in light painting.

Hvítserkur is a 15 m high basalt stack along the eastern shore of the Vatnsnes peninsula, in northwest Iceland. The rock has two holes at the base, which give it the appearance of a dragon who is drinking.
