Perch Rock Lighthouse, built on Black Rock, is situated in the mouth of the River Mersey approximately 5km NW of Liverpool Pier Head.  It has been the site of a navigation light since 1683,   Lancaster was sold to Liverpool based company Empirewise Ltd, who intended her to be used as a static leisure center and Market She arrived at her new home at Llanerch-y-Mor, near Mostyn, on 10 August 1979.The ship was beached and the hull was sealed — not in concrete, as is commonly thought, but surrounded by a large tonnage of sand pulled out of the Dee estuary. Known as "The Fun Ship", it was also possible to visit her bridge and engine room. Conversion for use as a 300-room hotel did not appear to go beyond the preliminary planning stage. Its use as "The Fun Ship" was relatively short-lived and it was subsequently closed to the public because access to the ship is via a bridge under the North Wales railway line, which is too low for emergency vehicles. Over time, the vessel has become increasingly derelict. Near the 1675 ft summit of Roaches Ridge is the allegedly bottomless Doxey Pool. Doxey Pool has A myth attached to it, one is that the pool is the home of Jenny Greenteeth, a seductive mermaid or water spirit who lures travellers to a watery grave. Llandudno Pier is a pier in the seaside resort of Llandudno on the coast of North Wales between Bangor and Colwyn Bay. in a spectacular Indian Gothic style rather like a Maharajah's palace floating on a lake. So he refurbished it so that anyone could stay there for a short holiday. Indeed, it was their idea to attract newly married couples to spend part of their honeymoon there at a cost of £50 a day, with champagne and flowers thrown in. So it is said ? The 28 m (91 ft) lighthouse was designed by Daniel Alexander and the main light is visible to passing vessels for 28 miles, and was designed to allow safe passage for ships on the treacherous Dublin - Holyhead - Liverpool. There are over 400 stone steps down to the footbridge (and not, as local legend suggests, 365), and the descent and ascent provide an opportunity to see some of the 4,000 nesting birds that line the cliffs during the breeding season. Dwynwen is the Welsh patron saint of lovers, making her the Welsh equivalent of St Valentine.. Her Saint's day is January 25 and is often celebrated by the Welsh with cards and flowers. The remains of St Dwynen's Church can be found.In 2004, Llanddwyn Island was used as a filming location in Demi Moore's  romantic thriller Half Light. Tŵr Mawr was used as a lighthouse which plays a key role in the film Also In 2009, a scene for the Hollywood blockbuster Clash of the Titans was filmed at Llanddwyn. Thanks  for Looking  Snowdonia's landscape is unique. The nine mountain ranges cover approximately 52% of the Park and include many peaks that are over 3,000 feet (915m).
