Bio: Hi Everyone, Thanks for looking at my photos. Got my first DSLR October 09 as a wedding present from my wife, I haven't really got a particular genre I'm interested in although I've realised recently I have a passion for trying to capture great landscapes. I still think of myself as a amateur but now with a little more knowledge and kit, so all comments and suggestions are still very much appreciated. Probably one of the last local shots from where I live at the moment, thanks for all your kind messages and comments. Thanks for looking, Phil. This is my local lakes in Dartford and is shared by the local fishing club DDAPS and the Council. I've been visiting here for years whether it be fishing or just strolling around but I'm moving out of the area so I guess this is a goodbye shot. Cheers. This is the site of Scadbury Manor in Chislehurst Kent (Circa early 1400's), you can make out a pillar on the left and what looks like the remains of a footbridge over the moat in the foreground, looks better expanded I think, Cheers all! This is an image taken in the Maldives when I first received my DSLR as a wedding gift from my wife, it was one of about a couple of hundred shots of the Dolphins. If only I had the kit and more importantly the knowledge that I have now I probably would have had better shots, what with the wonderfull display they gave us! This is Olney Sluice in Bucks, when I was a boy I used to fish near this spot on the River Ouse whilst visiting my Great Uncle, Bill Hooton. Unfortunatley he passed away at the end of last year aged 97 (the oldest resident ever to have lived in Olney)  so this one is dedicated to him and the fond memories of seeing the sluice and knowing that I was a short distance away from him and a great fishing adventure. Thanks for looking as always Phil Sorting through some old images the other day and found this one from our honeymoon in the Maldives, it brought back some lovely memorys and I think just sums the place up really, This is another shot taken at a lake local to me and converted to mono, thanks for viewing. Just trying something a bit different, someone said to me a little while ago This is one of the shots I managed to take without the driftwood bluring in the surf, this was also changed to B&W as it was such a dull day, I like the way the white water circled around the wood. Please expand if you have the time Cheers! Hi Guys, I was recently at a friends wedding and played unofficial photographer for the day, I can now appreciate how tricky it must be for a pro. I tried to get some slightly different shots from what I saw the Pro taking and I'll probably put a few more on so please let me know what you think. Cheers. This was another shot at low tide between Reculver and Herne Bay, just before the sun went down, again hand held with a nd8 soft grad and wet feet! Thanks for looking! Another shot from the beach this time a mono conversion slightly more inland, it had just started to rain so hense the bad title, sorry! Thanks for viewing and thanks for all your recent comments, Phil Loved the detail on this Elephants skin, Please expand, hope you like! Hi all this is another shot of Reculver Towers as the sun was setting, I like the way the warm light caught parts of the ruins and little patches of grass. I'd really appreciate your comments on this one as I wasn't sure whether to add this image or not, there was no pp involved and I just really liked it. Could some pp have helped? I think the figures on the left add another point of interest but should I have got rid of them? Many thanks as always Phil Something a bit different from me. I have wanted to get a picture of my son on here for a while and although I've taken some really lovely photos I wanted to do something a bit more "arty" if you like! This is him now at 4 and a half months with his Mum taken with my SB900, and I will put another on when he's sitting up.
