Cape Town CBD,harbour and north west suburbs. Best expanded if you have the time. A 8 second exposure using the big stopper. I rather liked the abstract look of the image. Some of the beautiful flowers. This male has become a feature in the Pilansberg by walking on the road and refusing to let cars past him. A short time after I took this shot he attacked a car which was trying to pass him, fortunately the occupants were shaken rather than injured. One elephant in the Kruger Park actually turned its back on a mini which had got too close and sat down on the bonnet! Sorry I removed to edit, had'nt noticed several marks. A grab shop from Muscat beach. In this era of litigation for infringement of ideas, just imagine the cost if we had to pay for everything we've learned from nature! Just posted for a laugh, hope you share my sense of humour. Do have a great and safe weekend. The rather impressive Burj al-Arab and Burj Khalif dominating the distant horizon make this city truly impressive. Unfortunately the sky remained hazy during my stay so this is the clearest shot I got. Runners in the Two Oceans Marathon, Cape Town I rather liked the light in the bottom left fading into the shadow of the mountains and the bright snow capped peaks on the horizon. Cormorants and gulls eagerly welcome a returning fishing boar. Millers Point, Simons Town, Western Cape Province, South Africa Table Mountain and Signal Hill, Cape Town Was taking shots at Printemps store of children looking at the impressive puppet shows in their windows when this young boy started looking up into the sky. I liked the innocent expression. Witkoppen Falls are situated a few kilometres from the source of the Crocodile River which eventually joins the Limpopo River and forms the border with Botswana and Zimbabwe. I retook this image in December, this time I climbed down amongst the boulders as I thought this would better demonstrate why the lighthouse is there. The Cape of Good Hope coast is notorious for shipwrecks, there are usually 1 or 2 each year. Never seriously tried flowers before. An old pine which fell down years ago has managed to spring back to life via a precarious lifeline of a few roots and new branches which have grown out. The red flowers in the bg are known locally as Red Hot Pokers! They say every cloud has a silver lining, well not this one tonight! On the road to Luderitz, Namibia, miles and miles of poles and then I saw these hills in the background. Sugar Beach, Mauritius, late afternoon with the clouds rolling in and everyone standing at the waters edge. Late afternoon shot at Noordhoek Beach near Cape Town. I have, as you can see, done quite a bit of pp work on this just to try something different.
