New York has always had this romanticized appeal to me. A mecca for artists, the whole city pulses with creative energy. This was shot on my first (and, so far, only) trip to the Big Apple This is one I took on a day when I decided to only use my often neglected telephoto lens. Shot down at the Newhaven harbour. I spent about 4hours taking my time, walking around the area sussing out compositions. It's rather special because it's something I don't often have time to do. A view to the Snowdon massif across Llyn Padarn at dawn. Shot from the observation deck on the 77th floor of Q1 in Surfer's Paradise, Australia. You can see why they call the Gold Coast. I have a love-hate relationship with London I have to admit. It can be an infuriating and depressing place to be sometimes. But, like a good rollercoaster, the high points are truly memorable, and it's times like this that make it one of my favourite cities in the world. The cold British winter really makes for some spectacular light and with the trees looking so stark, it's definitely my favourite season of the year for photography. This was the last exposure I made in 2010. With the moving clouds and the light trails into the distance, it seemed fitting. Shot at one of the more popular beaches on the Oslofjord - Ingierstrand - on a day which was hardly fit for the beach. This was taken a couple of weeks ago on my Easter trip to Snowdonia. I had woken up earlier for a sunrise shot at Llyn Padarn and on my way back to the house, I noticed these awesome vapor trails in the sky so I drove around for a bit looking for something interesting to shoot with the trails in it and eventually took this from a lookout point near Llyn Gwynant. A long exposure shot on the Nyhavn canal in Copenhagen on a stunning spring day. This was taken in February 2011 but it seems particularly poignant now, in light of the recent events in Japan. Full respect to the people who work at the Fukushima Daiichi plant. Having lost family and friends in the aftermath of the earthquake, they still put life and limb on the line to prevent a complete meltdown. Viewed from the Aurora Tower on Queen Street, this shows the growing stature of Brisbane among the cities of Australia.
