Taken on a random photo-taking day as i was leaving the beach. This Mustang stood out from the rest of the plain cars, so had to get down in the middle of the road for a photo. Taken down at Hurst Castle, i loved shooting the old mooring fixtures, some of which were still in use. Donnington Castle in a 3 shot HDR a 3 shot HDR of one of the many local churches. A lone living flower among a sea of dead ones, so i really had no choice in the one i took a photo of. Looking out of place, this rusting bucket seemed ideal for a nice photo. One of my first trips out with my DSLR and i thought the design of this bench produced a nice composition The stack of books that never get read, but litter the coffee table provoking the guilt. He watches over the sea, waiting for the unexpected, waiting to be what he knows he can be. A life saver. This old piece of metal was rusting so badly that it was camouflaged against the pebbles of the beach. My lovely family cat, looking very graceful and pensive. Although he doesn't look it, he is actually very old. And right after this photo he decided he didn't like my hand very much. An old rope tying down the small, unused jetty in the background. If i wasn't carrying such expensive equipment, i may have attempted to make the jump on to the jetty. My first attempt with a dedicated macro lens. This little guy couldn't have been more than a couple of mm in size. Shame the extreme wind meant getting him in focus was almost impossible. Still, i like it, and i hope you do too. Attempting to escape the crowds, i went to explore under the pier. I found 2 people also seeking some refuge, and some pre-existing sand tracks, which gave premise to this photo. A colourful representation of what is a fairly unwelcoming alley A sunset trip down to Portsmouth harbor presented this interested composition Quite possibly the first ever HDR i took using my camera. Hand held, with a kit lens. It is overexposed in places, but i still like it. Not one of the best images i took of this skyline, but the colours of the sky make this one my favourite. Taken from the very top of Portsdown Hill, a great location to see a vast amount of the south coast! A rather unexplored and untouched part of Hengistbury Head, which required some fence negotiation and some wet feet I followed this swan for a while along the bank, hoping he would venture closer for a portrait. But alas, this was the best i could get with a fixed lens.
