Bio: I now have the chance, and the time, to revisit photography which first interested me some years ago. I have no preference for specific subjects - just happy to experiment with anything interesting and try to produce good representations of what I see. Tried to contrast the diagonal of the ice with darker background. Taken at Lake Chuzenji in Japan on a  recent January day. Haze/pollution is a problem so this shot was taken about 6.30am as the first of the Kowloon workers headed off on the ferries to their day jobs in Hong Kong. Taken during a street procession in Llandudno in North Wales. http://www.ronsuttonimages.com Late on a January afternoon on Derwentwater in the Lake District in Cumbria......please try in full screen if you have the time......more at...www.ronsuttonimages.com This memorial, at Moelfre on the Isle of Anglesea, remembers the men, women and children who died when the sailing ship 'Royal Charter' was wrecked in the waters below the memorial on October 25th 1859.The local lifeboat crew and the villagers managed to save about a dozen lives - but more than 400 other passengers died . (Try in full screen if you have time). www.ronsuttonimages.com In Hong Kong each night at 8pm this laser show takes place around the harbour - great to watch - but a bit hit and miss to photograph.By the time you've pressed the shutter the light's gone.This was taken at the finale of the show - press the shutter and hope! (View in full screen if you have time). www.ronsuttonimages.com //->   This was taken at a nursery in Temple-sur-Lot in SW France where Monet used to purchase the plants he then had sent to his garden at Giverny near Paris. Taken with a dark wall background which darkened the water the lily was growing in. (Try in full screen if you have time). www.ronsuttonimages.com   A great day in Snowdonia, wonderful light, and the first  snow of the Winter.  A few words of explanation - this is a Raw file converted to Jpeg - but no other work. No software tricks, no HDR, what you see is what I saw. The surface of the lake was roughened by the wind except for this one smooth area near the lakeside which picked up the cloud reflections. Hope you enjoy. Had hardly any photography since early July (thanks to wrecked knee and a surgeons knife) so decide to be a brave boy and get out of bed. This is one of the results - hope you enjoy.
