Treated myself to an early birthday present - a B&W ND110 filter A bit more colour for my gallery, trying to get my macro / flora mojo back! A bit of warmth in the sky, contrasting with the snow Thanks for Looking Best viewed expanded if you have time. Thanks for Looking I normally find loads of these in the garden but normally the green/yellow ones. This one had some gorgeous blue fringes around its back. Thanks for Looking! There was some lovely vivid light over these cascade gardens at Wisley with the sun rising from behind the greenhouse on the hill - re-visited HDR as still need some practice with this so feedback as always welcome Best viewed expanded if you have time Thanks for Looking Digging back through the archives to see what I can do with some old shots. This one was taken back in December, I liked it but it was a bit dull and flat so thought i'd inject some colour and atmosphere Thanks for Looking! Rather windy but it blew the cobwebs away. Thanks for looking One of the many butterflies at the glasshouse at RHS Wisley, there until the 27th Took my youngest to see them and It was absolutely rammed today, so what with that and the fact he was more interested in the waterfall I managed to get one shot! Suffering from the usual 'foggy lens' syndrome I decided on a kind of mono conversion which worked much better than colour on this occassion Many many shots later and I managed to get something... This dandelion was quite large so thought I would have a go at capturing some water droplets An empty, washed out spray bottle was used to create the drops. I used a 13mm Extension tube coupled to a 50mm lens. With an off camera flash just to help with lighting Thanks for Looking A vibrant, colourful crocus from RHS Wisley yesterday - can't wait until Spring kicks off. Lets hope its a warm sunny one! Love ferns, especially the shape and texture of the leaves Liked this one with the shapes in the background too Adjustments to brightness, contrast, white balance and hue in RAW Converter. Cropped and some spot healing in Elements. As always Thanks for Looking! A strange day yesterday weather wise, very gusty wet and windy during the day and then suddenly it all vanished just before the sun went down, so I scurried off for a quick capture of the last light One of my favourite little local spots - Thought id try and create something with a bit of an artwork feel Sorry for being a bit absent, hopefully get round all your galleries soon! :) Have a great weekend Thanks for Looking!
