Bio: My interest in photography was sparked seven years ago when a then girlfriend was enrolled in a photography class. I love to create, to produce something new, and photography allows me that ability while simultaneously enjoying one of my other favorite past times; exploring. I bought a Nikon D80 two years ago and moved to Seattle to chase raindrops and dreams.

The lovely Catherine getting ready on her very special day. Some modern architecture in downtown Seattle. I was just getting over a bout with vertigo when I took this picture. It actually made me a bit nauseous walking through there. Dodging traffic on a bright, sunny day in downtown Denver. An amazing sunset at the equally amazing Deception Pass State Park in Washington.  I was dense and forgot the tripod several miles back in the car and had to bump the ISO a bit to get the shot.  Ocean Beach, San Diego Raindrops on a leaf stuck to my bumper.  Shot on a tripod in a parking garage. My girlfriend and I were exploring around some train tracks we came upon when returning from a snow boarding trip in the Cascades.  The way the sun was angled really made the texture in the ground pop.   Makes me think of the Minotaur on Knossos, though why she is pausing is beyond me.    Shooting through a great little vase at a giant pomegranate that hangs on the restaurant wall. Early morning raindrops that formed some great geometrical shapes on a lovely spider web in the Buchart Gardens of British Columbia A snow covered lamppost taken from an adjacent lamppost.  Shot at night with a tripod, I have several versions of this picture but enjoy this one with its End of Days feel. I took this shot before I had a cable release or an assistant (girlfriend), so it took a few tries to get something decent.  I left the guitar on top of the boulder, set the delay for twenty seconds on the camera, and then ran and climbed like crazy.  I like the idea of escaping into solitude to commit an act (smashing a guitar) usually associated with inciting frenzy in a very public atmosphere. A passing train at sunset. Looking up through some seriously dense midnight fog. Belly up to a big old tree on classicly cloudy Washington day.  I couldn't get the tripod close enough so I had to pump up the ISO a bit and hope for a steady hand. Lots of jellyfish out here in the Pacific Northwest. This is a macro shot taken of a real monster. Apparently I enjoy creating cosmic landscapes. A chandelier in the downtown Indianapolis library, inverted for an electric flavor.
