Bio: I took up photography in February 2009 buying my first DSLR, a Sony A700. Photography helps me to see the world in a refreshing light. I like to play with colour and whilst my pp work might not be to everyones taste, I hope you like it. Your comments help me along the way, the more constructive the better.

Another twist on the Micheldever shots. It was a windy day so their is a lot of movement in the flowers themselves but I hope it adds to the effect. I've used some layers tweaks on this to get the final colour that I wanted. Shot taken in my back garden using a colour board angled towards the sun to provide the backdrop. Daisy flowers shot in my back garden. A colour board is used to reflect the sun. A 5 shot HDR is used with Tone Compressor through Photomatix Pro. Durdle door very late on a May evening as the last of the sun is just leaving its final touches on the top of the Door. A Cokin ND8 Grey Grad (Soft) was used over the sky and the door to balance the light. Back at base I've altered the foreground colour saturation in CS4 to bring out the redness in the stones. Update due to colour gamut issues with export using ProPhotoRGB colour profile instead of sRGB which stops Internet Explorer showing the image properly !! Apologies to those who had commented on the original Taken facing down lake towards Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon. The clouds we coming in and the day was really gloomy, the light appeared for a whole five seconds and then it was gone. No time for tripods and setting ideal focal depth but it turned out OK. Thank you M42 Birmingham as rush hour begins on an October morning Long exposure shot taken from the side of the Jubilee bridge (or Millenium Bridge). This angle is fast becoming one of the iconic shots of London... I love this city This is an update to a previous image to remove the campfire burn marks on the beach using the CS4 Clone Stamp Tool Shot taken from the steps of the National Gallery, London. Looking out over Trafalgar Square towards Big Ben in the distance Taken on London's Embankment near OXO Towers, processed through Photomatix to bring out the detail in the posts and some additional post processing in Photoshop CS4 Another shot processed from my quick evening trip to Lulworth Cove, Dorset. I've put seven exposures (from -2 to +1 in 1/2 step increments) through Exposure Fusion in Photomatix Pro and followed up with some selective dodging and burning in CS4 with a small tweak to the saturation of the yellow flowers on the right hand side to bring them to the eye. The black mark in the centre of the beach is where a camp fire has been set, I'm never 100% sure whether to clone out elements like this in post production of leave them there as part of the reality. This shot was taken from the top of the 150 steps back up from the beach itself, a trek which indeed became a dawdle with tripod and full camera bag in tow. Cokin P ND8 Grey Grad (Soft) is across the sky to hold back the setting sun, I've tweaked the saturations every so slightly in CS4 too. Please view large if you have the time. Enjoy! Shot taken in my back garden in a five minute break from work... Taken on a rainy London night. Dropped colour temperature from 3600 to 2400 to introduce the blue which really helps the light trails. Spot where the bus stopped at the traffic lights for about 10 of the 30 second exposure
