Probably one of the most photographed rows of cottages in the Cotswolds.  Some people have suggested it has too much sky, but I like the cloud formations and that's why I left so much in. Located a couple of miles out of Ambleside in the centre of the Lake District.  When we started the walk we had beautiful blue skies, but by the time we got here there was a real threat of 'weather' in the distance.  We took our pictures and headed back into Ambleside.  About 1/2 a mile from cover the heavens opened! Beautiful 18th century gardens in Wiltshire managed by the National Trust. Lack of detail in the sky is due to me leaving the ND grads in the car and it was too far to walk back.  What a muppet!! Photographed at Loro Parque, Tenerife.  What really struck me was that he was watching the people just as much as the people were watching him.  He sat looking straight out the enclosure for several minutes, then simply turned his back.  There was a very obvious, very real intelligence in the eyes. My only published image to date.  I posted it on a photo critiqueing site about 4 years ago and then out of the blue received an e-mail a few months back asking if it could be used in a Canadian geography text book.  To say I was gobsmacked is an understatement.  I received a copy of the book as payment although cash payment was offered. We had stopped at Muleshoe Lookout, between Banff and Lake Louise to photograph the view, when we heard a train whistle in the distance.  We waited for a couple of minutes and this came into view. Iconic Canadian image or what? View from Palacio de Mondragón in Ronda.  Wonderful view over the plains below.  The admission charge to the palace was worth it for this view alone. Taken at the side of Lake Windermere one Easter.  Just summed up the Wordsworth poem for me. View of Lindos village and Acropolis
