I always envy photographers being able to shoot good color reflections. Tide was right during this time so didn't settle for any other composition except for this. Taken in Pangasinan, Philippines. Out scouting the northern side of the country, we were lucky to have saved the day by finding a treasure in the heart of Pangasinan. Waited for several minutes till the sky turned red, I took this shot as giant mosquitoes were having a feast on my legs. I was on a sandbar, connecting 2 islands, for this shot. It was already high tide when I took this hindering me to go to the other side knowing I wouldn't be able to cross back. Taken in El Nido Palawan, Philippines These massive jackstone-like boulders are all over this beach to protect houses from waves during severe storms. However, as evident on this image, the original sea walls were already destroyed and in no time these jacktones will share the same fate. As I promised myself to shoot more this year, I ended up shooting in nearby towns in my home province of Pangasinan, here in the Philippines. I used a 60d with a Hoya r72 filter for this frame. Taken at Caliraya Water Shed Laguna, Philippines. It was stormy and we faced 10-12 feet swells. Lucky I got the shot I wanted. Taken in Pangasinan, Philippines Lucky was I for being able to salvage this frame. I may not have taken the shot I wanted, still I'm thankful we were given such wonderful light even for a few minutes. Taken in Sampaloc Lake San Pablo, Laguna Philippines. Taken in El Nido Palawan, Philippines Had a great weekend with friends though I decided to go back home earlier for my pregnant wife. This image made the cut so worth it as I was able to capture the shot I pre-visualized. With just fine light sans the rocks and mangroves, I was forced to play with other elements in the place. Taken in Pagbilao Quezon, Philippines. Kapurpurawan Beach is one of the finest areas to capture in the northern region of the Philippines. Having been photographed thousand times, I was lucky enough to be there with the perfect tides making it easy for me to access this not-so-familiar spot.
