Taken at the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, Gloucestershire displaying autumn colours. I like images of solitary or isolated individuals in large landscape settings because it speaks of our human condition Dungeness is a deceptively beautiful and inspiring place: a desert in many ways in which some beautiful things grow. A difficult shot which comes off on the screen but unfortunately doesn't print well because of some Taken at The Louvre in Paris. The spiral staircase and central lift there is wonderful to photograph. Taken in Oradour sur Glane in SW France which was completely destroyed by the SS and its inhabitants murdered. Now stands as a memorial and is known as The Martyr Village. Even this abandoned car appears to be crying out in pain and anguish. Taken in the beautiful Cathedral of Gloucester using a wide angle lens One of those moments when you're glad you've got your camera with you. Hopefully this just speaks of the fantastic natural beauty all around us. This was taken in Cardiff Bay and is part of the multi storey car park, Taken at Caldey Island at the entrance to the Monastery. Taken soon after the lights came on in the early evening on Clevedon Pier I've always been a great admirer of the paintings by Whistler of The Thames and in this image sought to emulate just something of that same feeling, I was able to record Clevedon Pier at different times during the day and evening and was well rewarded with these lovely night time reflections. THese are a group of trees adjacent to the former crematoria at Auschwitz/Birkenau. I ran my hand down the trunk of one of these trees to find that my hand was stained with soot: human remains from all those years ago. It's as if the lines on the trunks are like tear tracks: probably they are. This was taken in Brittany at a Folk Dancing Display and hopefully I've captured some of the movement and vitality of the dancing. It's never easy to get a different take on a familiar landmark but it's good fun trying! This is the famous windmill atop of Monmartre in Paris and here I was trying to capture a 1930's feel to this incredible part of an incredible city. Taken at Stoke Newington Cemetery Waiting for their first customers of the day.
