Bio: After working in construction for a good number of years and equally having an interest in photography, with the encouragement of family and friends i have started to exhibit some of my work. I get great satisfaction from researching a location and hopefully getting the shot [sometimes after few visits].The "Golden Hour" you can't beat it

 I like to use long exposures when the light is right, so often a really dull day suits perfectly To capture something that the human eye doesn't see is always an accomplishment.3 stop + 2 stop ND Grad to slow things right down I just managed to catch the last remnants of mist lying in the middle of the lake before the sun burnt it off. 1 stop ND Grad  and Polariser used. The last light, you think its going and then it gets better ! The rising sun just starts to light up the ruins of the  old Martello Tower. 2 stop ND Grad used  As the sun rises over the lighthouse the birds appeared, luckily they were flying straight towards me otherwise they would have never been sharp Just after sunrise the sun broke through, with a 3 stop ND Grad i just managed to hold it back enough to retain detail in the sky, get the sun kiss on the rocks in the foreground and detail in the steps to the right. The reflections of the strand captured in the calm of the high tide.Off camera flash used to get detail in the rocks in foreground.
