Bio: Hello and welcome , i have great admiration (amongst others ) for the following who have an almost daily influence on both my photography and my mind! - Edgar Allen Poe, Arthur Machen, Bulwer Lytton, Simon Marsden. Martin Parr, Man Ray and Ansel Adams... i must admit i suffer from weeks of photographers block at a time but always love to come back to this site when my madness is over!..I intend to press that damn shutter a lot more in 2012 too... Thanks always so much for your comments, i take it all on board and get inspired by some great photographers on this site...

A lone beachcomber at Towyn Beach, North Wales I just loved this place, down a small alley in Capri town. This is one of the most fantastic places i've been, i love Berkeley, there was so much going on that day i only took about 5 pictures. I just stood on the corner and snapped it. Christmas 2010 on a dark and wet Lancashire street. I just can't stay out of crumbling Victorian churchyards, i need help! Radio masts at Hopwood This is spooky prospect tower, now on private land next to Turton Tower, now derelict and fallen into riun, it still remains a Grade11 listed 17th century building. This is Forest hill, a very old part of my village The local res in winter This is a view down Kings Court, York, taken around midnight when the city was virtually deserted, i.ve visited York many times but never known it so quiet on a Sunday night. This has been taken so many times by tourists, i wanted to see this in B&W, almost looks infrared. Freezing August afternoon! Looks far better from this height without the tat everywhere from Cpt Corelli's Mandolin! The Norman church with a wooden tower in Middleton, Manchester. The steep ans slippery steps up to the top of Dyserth Falls, North Wales This is the original Goodshaw chapel, an 18th Cent building owned by English Heritage, only open by means of acquiring a key ( prob from the spooky caretaker from Scooby doo? ), it's a pretty forboding place at night, i've photographed orbs and strange wispy lights here too. This was taken last winter. Now lay in ruins for the last 100 years, this was the inspiration behind Fearndean Manor in Jane Eyre, much of the stone has been taken to build and rebild elsewhere. There are tales of phantom horsemen and ghostly black dogs here at night! The steam train thunders above this every 30 mins, it's an awesome noise stood underneath... The chapel at Rawtenstall Cemetery My last shot of this sequence... feel like death!
