One of my shots that I submitted for the calendar contest where I work. They like the shots aiming up at the sky with white fluffy clouds. Sunset on Canal St. in Duluth, Minnesota. The famous boardwalk in the fg right along the shore of Lake Superior. Have a great New Years everyone!! Thanks for viewing! Yet another one of my sailboat pics from lake Harriet with a storm a brewing. I'm sure this thick shell helped this ancient armadillo relative survive more than a few nasty encounters with hungry dinos! part of the Galchutt, ND barn I posted yesterday. Taken at the Minnesota Twins game on Labor Day 9/5/11. Some more hand held shots from the upper deck nose bleed section. The tractor they used to pull people on hayrides at the apple orchard. Fun times with family. Have a great weekend everybody! This is actually the Bird's Nest Olympic stadium from Beijing, China. I wrapped it around using polar coordinates and made it look like a black hole. The white beam of light shooting straight up is my rendering of a plasma jet shooting out from the center of the black hole. Another depot in the southeastern corner of Mongolia. Sorry for the lack of new material as of late--been really getting into bringing my older archive shots to life finally. Hope you all had a great holiday break! Taken in downtown Minneapolis, MN just outside the Walker Art Museum. I was at a Minnesota Twins game yesterday--the first of a double header with the Chicago White Sox. Captured this from the way upper deck, zoom fully extended and hand held. Next time I will wander down to the lower deck and take my tripod with for a cleaner and clearer shot. Still, not a bad first attempt at sports photography but still so much to learn!! Just in case this is my last post before the holidays--Happy Holidays everyone! Taken last March during a huge blizzard. Snow drifts piled up as high as the roof on the other side of the garages at right. Taken in Chicago, IL in March when they dye the waters green for St. Patty's Day. On a side note, it's been a rough last week for me. Passed a kidney stone for the second time while also battling a diverticulitis infection in my intestines. It felt like someone was shooting or stabbing me in the gut for 3 days straight. I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy. Feeling better day by day now and on the mend. A little pond near New Richmond, Wisconsin. Taken near sunset. One of many switchbacks in the Wyoming Rockies.  Take a right hand turn out of the town of Banff and you will run into Lake Minnewanka a few miles down the road.  Beautiful scenery all around this lake. The Hancock Tower in Chicago.  Photo taken March 2010.   var LEO_HIGHLIGHTS_INFINITE_LOOP_COUNT = 300; var LEO_HIGHLIGHTS_MAX_HIGHLIGHTS = 50; var LEO_HIGHLIGHTS_IFRAME_TOP_ID = The Two International Finance Centre was the tallest office building in Hong Kong until this year.  It has a total of 88 stories and is the new heart of Hong Kong.   This year the newly completed International Commerce Centre surpassed 2 IFC as Hong Kong's tallest building coming in at 118 stories and forth tallest in the world.  But I just really love the two unattended large fishing poles in the fg.  :-)  Taken April 2005. Taken just last week on one of my early morning drives through small rural North Dakota towns.  This was taken near the town of Prosper, ND.  It started sprinkling on me just as I was taking this pic.  July 2010. Gandan Monastery in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  Posted this shot in color awhile back.  Cloned out the antenna tower that was on the left of the shot for a more vintage look.  Let me know what you think.  (If you want to check out the colored version it's located in images 81-120 in the fourth row down.)
