I'm originally from a small country village in Berkshire, and being surrounded by beautiful countryside gave me plenty of motive to photograph.
My main passion is writing. I started writing sports reports for the local paper aged 12, and was appointed as the editor of the school newsletter aged 14. I read Journalism at Bournemouth University and after completing my degree was elected to run Bournemouth University's Student Union - part of the job was to look after the Uni's magazine, TV and radio stations, which I enjoyed immensely.
Following this, I became a sub editor on a range of photography and digital art magazines owned by Bournemouth publishing house 'Highbury' which was later bought out by local rivals 'Imagine'. To my delight I was employed as a Senior Staff Writer on a Mac orientated magazine called iCreate. Later I applied to move back on to the photography portfolio of magazines where I quickly moved up the ranks to become the Features Editor on Digital Photographer, and more recently Deputy Editor.
In my spare time I love to pursue my photography (of course), travel, read extensively, write freelance articles for a range of technology titles and visit my family and friends. |
