Common Cichory by Miro Susta
The chicory plant originally came from the Mediterranean and traveled from Europe to spread across North America, part of Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The color is usually blue or lavender, rarely white or pink. The flower remains on the plant only one day, with quantities of stiff hairs on the underside of the chicory flower. The maximal height of the chicory plant is about 1 to 1.5 meter. Attached photo show cichory flower captured in Northern Switzerland.
