Winter Berries by lee beel

Berries in the snow. These little berries were photographed after the recent snowfall. They were resting on the ground and were really small, so I had to set the tripod up close to the floor and use extension tubes to capture a decent shot of them. The berries on the left were the main focal point but I wanted to include the berries in the top corner as a nice, blurred foreground to add some extra interest to the shot. It took a while tweaking the camera position but eventually I had a composition that I was happy with. Luckily the berries were shaded so there were no problems with direct sunlight and contrast. It was also really still so the berries weren't moving around in the wind. Canon 5D MKII. Canon EF L IS 70-200 with extension tube. 1/100sec @ f4 @ ISO100.
