Bellying Up To Bar, Pub Scene, 'song Of Joy--or The Old Reliables', Irishfest-la Crosse, 8-8-08, Photo By David Joseph Marcou, Playwright
This is a wide-angle shot of a moment from the pub scene in my sequel to Sean O'Casey's 'Juno and the Paycock.' My sequel is called 'Song of Joy--Or the Old Reliables,' and it was performed in part at Irishfest-La Crosse on Aug. 8, 2008, and in a staged reading at Aquinas H.S., on Aug. 22, 2008. In 2010, the Literary Staff of the National Theatre of Ireland critiqued my sequel positively, and I've since made the amendments to it that they suggested. The theatre trouple I direct, the Mercury Matthews Players, are hoping to perform it, at first good opportunity.
