These Are My Mountains by Bill Brown
Glencoe once again. While walking on the hill, I came across this unusual find. I would be interested on your thoughts of this scene. Your comments as always would be very much appreciarted. Please view large if you have the time.

Given the bloody history of the area, I think the dark and light nature of the image works really well. The vista is absolutely spectacular and the Brown technique does nothing but enhance the scene. Spellbinding as always my friend. -

Another gorgeous capture from you, Bill! I just love the perspective here and how that road takes us all the way though the mountains and this amazing scenery. The clouds on top offer even more drama - a drama that's definitely enhanced by your great finding as a foreground element. It looks really great and only if i were to nit pick i would say that i'd love for that cross to not be clipped and a bit more central in the frame. Aside that, it's as good as it gets :) Truly great work! -

I think that the sentiment speaks volumes in the simpleness and randomness in this resting place. One conjures up someone who has walked the mountains for a lifetime, knowing them as well as the lines of a loved one. This is an image that stays with you..... Nancy -

Fantastic Shot Bill, great scene wonderful colour and sky. The memorial, looks to modern for me, so I say definite "NO" if we all did this, What would the place look like. take Mt Everest for example full of dead bodies and rubbish. Artificial flowers and all no thanks. -
Eric Emerson
Nicely framed, Bill. If all of us who loved the Highlands left these memorials it would be a very odd place indeed. -
