Llyn Cregennen by Ian Flindt
Llyn Cregennen lies a short drive up a single lane road from the North Wales village of Arthog. Consisting of two bodies of water, the lake has all a landscape photographer could wish for : the peak of Pared y Cefn-hir – alpine in shape if not in stature, foreground rocks, boathouses, flourishing summer flowers, and of particular interest to the middle-aged landscape photographer, easily accessible public lavatories!

I must admit I love this type of landscape full marks for this one, composition, subtle colours make this a pleasure to view Ian. Just brilliant.......Bev. -

Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to comment. I agree, Anthony, that foreground boulders are not always necessary, but in this case I was attracted by the resemblance of the shape of one of the rocks to that of the distant peak. -

The last time I went up a single track near Arthog, I was in and out of the car opening and closing numerous gates, but I still didn't see this beautiful scene. Well taken. You've caught the light just at the right time of day. Worth a 5. Regards, Mal
