CAMPING IN AND AROUND THE PEAK DISTRICT...!!!!

Postby leemo on Fri Jun 25, 2010 5:03 pm

Hello everybody, Just wondering if anyone as any recommendations for a good campsite in or around the Peak District.. Its a long time since I last went camping, I also remember the lovely task of the wet wipe wash....!!! So a toilet block and showers would be nice, Oh and a pub near by would also be nice... LOL
Thank you

I stayed on a campsite in Buxton a few years back - I can't be 100% certain but I think it may have been this one, which has the facilities you ask for! http://www.beechcroftfarm.net/ Beautiful scenery, although it snowed while I was there so it was bitterly cold!

Otherwise, if you can find anywhere near Matlock Bath, Bakewell or Mam Tor, they're all beautiful places well worth visiting!
