poll- upload limits

Postby Medley on Sun Mar 07, 2010 1:10 am

This issue has recently come up again. I now present the poll in as straightforward a manner as possible.

There is already a healthy discussion of the subject going on here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2130. If you have comments to add, I suggest adding them there as I have no intention of trying to hijack John's thread.

I don't think this will give you an accurate answer Joe. The forums are the domain of the active users and the lurkers - I am guessing that the greatest percentage of the website users by far, don't even know the forums exist. If we want to cater for all the the site's users, the poll will have to be slapped on the frontpage of the site, for all to access - not hidden in a forum.

Agreed. But that's not within my capabilities. :D

So, this may give us some indication of where the general consensus lies. It's not perfect I'll admit, but it's what I can do.

Actually, Having just visited the front page of the gallery, the poll does show up there- kind of. There's a section titled "DP Forum" about halfway down the page containing links to the last five threads started. Not really what you would call "plastered" on the front page, but it's there. Perhaps that will invoke a few (more) responses.
