It does seem to be an excellent camera. I just wish they had made it full frame. Expecting to see the 1Ds Mk IV announced in the next week or so, that should be a beast of a camera.
I'm currently working on a new website, but I've got some images on flickr that you can have a look at. I've also been known to waffle a bit on twitter.

That's still one hell of a price tag attached to a camera. If you're nuts about high ISO it looks great, but I if I had that amount of money I would spend it on a D700 and a couple of 1000+ pound lenses instead. I'm guessing a D700s or something can't be too far off - let's see how that competes.

It's a professional tool and priced as such.

Yes I think it's priced about right (or will be once the street price settles). I take your point about it not being FF Jamie, but if it was, it wouldn't be as incredibly responsive as it is - action shooters won't be disappointed!

If they've integrated the Mark IV's new AF system into the 's', it'll be an incredible camera :D
