Belated greetings!

Hi everyone been on the main website since June but not got around to introducing myself here yet! The standard of pictures in users galleries has blown me away, there's a lot of really good photographers here!
I started with film SLR's about 30 years ago, with a Pentax Spotmatic I got for free (long story) , a Zenit and a KR10. I had a pic published in a BBC book (shot on Kodachrome 64), then when I moved to the UK from Africa 20 yerars ago, photography went out the window until I got a compact about 5 years ago, with which I took some aerial pics (under the same user name on Flickr if anyone fancies a look). I bought an Olympus E520 and a Sigma 10-20 about 14 months ago, and more recently (last month) my wife bought me a Pentax K7 and 2 lenses, just 3 days before I lost my job!

I've already seen your DP gallery recently and you know i like your shots
I have to say i really appreciate the work from people who started with film and are now working with digital.
I believe it is a quite difficult step and that you're doing more than well.
