Insurance

Question 2!

I am struggling to find a travel insurance policy that will cover my camera, i have even rung a couple of insuance companies and asked if i can add it as an extra on the policy but they said no :( . The best I have found, with out being extortionately priced, lets me have valuables up to £400 but my camera body is worth more than that, then i have 2 lenses plus lots of memory cards and spare batteries!

Does anyone here have their camera insured separately or have any experience with this? I dont own a house so i cant have it insured under my household policy.

There are a few companies that offer insurance for photographic equipment and also offer things like liability insurance - a must if you start doing professional work.

Have a look at http://www.photoguard.co.uk/
I'm currently working on a new website, but I've got some images on flickr that you can have a look at. I've also been known to waffle a bit on twitter.
