I really love this lens, its perfect for people on a budget (like students )
The only negative about this lens (for me) is not the focus speed, because I use it manually all the time, but because the lens moves up and down your composition changes, which is sometimes a pain in the ass when your shooting macro. But the nikon equivalent is way to expensive.
