Everest Base Camp Challenge

Postby matt_clinch on Thu Apr 09, 2009 3:03 pm

Hi all,

while new to this forum, i am a regular reader of DP and a visitor and member of the online galleries. I am quite new to photography having only taking it up seriously within the last year and like all of us am striving to improve all the time, however due to work, time is often limited.

At times when i am struggling to find the picture i'm after inspiration can be a hard thing to come by for whatever reason. This October however, i will be attempting to reach the base camp of Mount Everest. This will be a very gruelling challenge which i am undertaking on behalf of a very worthy cause (Guilford Undetected Tumour Screening, St Lukes Cancer fund at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and the fight against Cancer in general).

This is also a personal mission to improve myself as a person and a photographer, as i am sure that inspiration will not be in short supply in this amazing setting.

I hope that you may be able to take the time to look at my donations website and pledge any support you can to this worthy cause and i look forward to sharing some of my images with you in the DP galleries.

Please visit http://www.justgiving.com/mattclinch for more information.

Many thanks for your time and support......

Matt Clinch :)
