Hi, my name is Mark Makowski and I've been taking pictures for over 30 years. I have many hundreds of 35mm slides and negatives from a wide variety of places around the world. Since I've moved into digital photography I now have many thousands images. I consider myself an advanced amateur but not an expert as there is always something new to learn in DP. My kit is nearly all Nikon with lenses ranging from 12-24mm on the low end to 150-500mm on the long end. I have become fairly proficient at capturing high speed aircraft at air shows but there are only a couple of shows a year in my area. I've branched out to landscape and outdoor photography to include trying to catch actual wildlife shots. I've done quite a few panorama and HDR images that just can't be appreciated via the web.

I'm looking forward to the coming change of seasons with the vibrant colors here on the east coast. I also plan to do some hiking in Shenandoah National Park and along Skyline Drive in the Appalachian Mountains. I also have a trip to New York State in early October and the Fall colors will be in full bloom there. If my plans stay together and the weather allows, I hope to visit an animal park in New Jersey that is home to several families of wolves. I'll be putting some final touches on my photography website over the next two weeks and I'll add it to my profile when it's ready for your constructive comments & criticism.

Hi Mark, and welcome to the forum.

You sound like you have a very busy schedule of photo taking in the near future. Hopefully you'll get some great photos out of your trips, and you can come on here to show us lovely lot

I now realize that having a website always makes you think about how you can improve it but I've made some progress on it and I'll continue to work on it as time goes on. I have many thousands of images to sort through that I'd like to add so I'll be doing that for quite some time. For now, have a look and feel free to provide comments and any constructive criticism you might have.
My much improved medical condition will allow me to do some traveling and quite a bit of shooting over the next several months. I'll be trying some new techniques with some of the new equipment I've added to my kit over the past few months. I also have some new software to try out so I'm anxious to get out there.
