Inspiration

For me, actual inspiration comes from odd and different places. I have, for example, been inspired by the shape and size of clouds before. It tends to be random and abstract things for me.

I tend to be quite random and shoot on site. I'm getting into the habit of carrying my camera where ever I go now.

I wouldn't say anything in particular inspires me. A lot has to do the type of mood I am in also.

All inspiration comes from within... A wise martial artist once said, "Knowledge comes from the instructor, wisdom comes from within". I am quite inspired by nature, people around me - what they do with their life, what they are passionate about, what they want to change for a better and nicer world; events that shape a new good world, etc. However, I can also be pessimistic about these events if I perceive them as nothing but relative insignificant moments, so I think the source of all inspiration and intuition is within...

The inspiration is the moment ... the moment is unique .... capturing nature as it's best is a real inspiration...

This is a moment when I was at the Maritza river near my home town in the spring. This bee circled around me several times and she stopped in the air without moving.

Thanks guys. I was in one competition with the subject "nature" and the judges which were some famous photographs blamed me that it is collage and I did it with Photoshop and it was not real shot and after that disqualified me. But I don't care, I owned them.

Hi all,

For me it's mostly people that inspire me.
When it comes to photography I genuinely consider each person to be a unique canvas, with their own expressions, emotions, story, perspective, interests, etc, etc. Trying to catch a glimpse of that is one of the things that make people so interesting to me.
However, it's definitely makes sense that our own personal tastes in photography are influenced heavily by what inspires us.
Kinda weird though that I LOVE Scottish scenery, but my landscape photography sucks lol. I just don't think I have the eye for it :D

I'm kicking off a project about people who've done inspirational things in their life, so if you have a couple of minutes to spare, please feel free to read the page on my site about it.

I'm inspired by nature and how quirky it creates life, then putting my own perspective on it. I don't have a particular 'field' of interest I want to follow as I'm only a year into using my DSLR so I'm still discovering. I'm interested to try Macro stuff, but don't have a macro lens as yet so that could easily become my field of interest. I have yet to upload any images to the forum but you can have a look at my profile for some of what I think are my best images so far.

I am often inspired by the magnificence of the simplest things (well, if I'm in a suitable mood, of course) - like the petals of a flower or the rails of the traintrack or weirdly-shaped stones, things like that. It's incredible, when you look for the smaller things and sometimes they turn out to be quite sophisticated.

somneim, sorry you got disqualified, so unfair. Amazing shot, though. :)

I usually root my inspiration from absolutely anything. My common suspects are anything of nature. I love taking pictures of great scenes as how clouds are going to display them. And true enough, they are really a marvel to look at.

I also enjoy shooting birds while they are flying in flocks in a certain direction and formation.

Also with my latest addition of a macro lens, it has made for a very interesting shooting experience.

This is breathtaking! I read a blog before on photography, one of the photographer's tips is to always bring a camera with you because you'll never really know when moments like happen. Good thing I always have my handy camera with me always.
