Spring Sun.

Postby PentaxHappy on Tue Apr 03, 2012 7:49 pm

Hi all, I really like this particular photo myself, but would really appreciate any thoughts for improving the scene or indeed if I'm on my own in thinking the massive shadow works. Cheers.

Its rather funny that the photo (or just the topic!) is called "Spring Sun", and the most visible or eye-related in the photo is huge dark shadowy sport in the front! :D

If It was my photo, I would definitely have tried with lowering the horisont a bit, and straightening out the horisontal line so that the photo ain't tilting that much. :) Can we see it without the B/W filter on?

Agree with Aung, the foreground shadow creates a nice strong base but there's just too much foreground for my liking. A nice pano crop with less of the shaded area would work nicely.

try cropping so little less shade, by using filters can create a more dramatic sky try using infra red filter good image though

Thank you for your feedback all, the file was deleted so I can't show with out the filter. I will try for a better image at the same location then post back. Cheers.

ya i think you should crop the bottom up for more of a pano look, def not that much of a harsh shadow
