We found out last night at our Christmas party that our bosses are giving us all a free iPad - awesome!!
So does anyone use any good iPad photography apps they want to recommend? :D

Lucky punks!!! But I'm sure it's only because iPad 2 is going to come out soon and iPad 1 prices are going to drop.

Anyway, here are some nice apps I use on the iPad, not in any particular order or ranking
1 ) Adobe Ideas
2 ) iBrainstorm
3 ) Dropbox
4 ) Kindle
5 ) Photoshop Express
6 ) Zinio (app is free, magazines and subscriptions are not)
7 ) Pixel Mag apps (not free) for DP, DCE, etc
8 ) VLC media player
9 ) Goodreader (not free)

One Photography type application that I use is PhotoBox Pro, it is a software for using the iPad as a light source for photography, simple and works very well

There's also a digital clapperboard app for those who work with videos.

Avoid white balance gray card apps.

hey Check out Sort Shots, which uses the power of tags to quickly sort and organize your photos. You can rate your photos (to sort your favourites to the top quickly) and tag multiple photos at once. Tags can be organized into hierarchical categories as well; the default top level categories are People, Places, and Events.
Also the best thing is whenever you'll transfer pics from your pc etc to ipad the sequence of those pics remain same. You can also create slideshows with music.. :) :) for me its the best photo organizing app. :)

Something I use when I want to be sure about light direction at a given location, at a specific time (normally sunrise and sunset) is Light Trac. It's basically google Earth with an overlay of the sun's direction, and you set the date and time and exactly where you want to photograph. I used to think just having a rough idea would be ok, but I've been caught out a number of times and ended up in the wrong place and no time to get where I want (famously being the wrong side of a river lol).
