These three young beagles were bred especially for a test laboratory. However, they were so scared they couldn't be handled and were subsequently passed on to our local shelter. They are still scared as they cling together in the corner of the pen. Fortunately the pens in our shelter are large enough for the dogs to run around a little. I suppose one good thing is that they were never used for testing. Horrible practice.
